APMS 2011

APMS 2011 was in Stavanger (Norway), 26-28 September 2011. As in the last editions, in addition to a scientific international conference, this event was also:

• a Doctoral Workshop (24 September 2011),
• the opportunity to organize technical and project meetings around the event , and
• the place to meet IFIP WG 5.7 members and experts in Production Management Systems from all over the world.

APMS 2011 conference was organized by the University of Stavanger (UIS), with support by the Innovation Centre at the University of Stavanger, Centre for industrial Asset Management (CIAM) at University of Stavanger, University College of Stord Haugesund (HSH), and the Stavanger Convention Bureau of the Municipality of Stavanger.

Papers have been blindly peer-reviewed. Accepted papers of registered participants have been included in the Conference proceedings (CD with ISBN). Then, presented papers will be included in the Conference post-proceedings (book) published by Springer in the series called “IFIP Advances in Information and Communication Technology” (IFIP AICT).  

The conference organisers want to thank you for your participation at the APMS 2011 International Conference. It was our pleisure and honor to assign the traditional awards of APMS, for the best contribution to the APMS Doctoral Workshop, as well as the Best Paper and the Best Presentation at the APMS International Conference (Burbidge Awards).

The awards for the the Doctoral Workshop (with an economic prize) were assigned to Mr Thorsten Wuest. The winners of the Burbidge awards at APMS 2011 were Mr Marc Lambrecht, Mr Kris Lieckens and Dr Pieter Colen (Best Paper) and Ms Claudia Chackelson, Mr Martin Tanco, and Ms Elizabeth Viles (Best Presentation).
