The conference proceedings are now available at “PROCEEDINGS” tab. Please note that free-access is activated only if you access the link through the "PROCEEDINGS" page and will be activated for approximately four weeks which starts on August 26 and ends on September 25.

Online participation - How to attend
Step-by-step Guide
→ Set yourself up for the Online participation The main platform for APMS2020 will be Cisco WebEx. If you haven't used Cisco WebEx before we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the application and have it all set up on the device you will use to access the conference.

→ Getting access to the live sessions
There are 2 ways to gain access to the live sessions:
1. Calendar Invitations for all APMS2020 sessions will be sent to you by Friday, August 28th. Once you accept the calendar invitations you should be able to access the individual sessions directly from your personal calendar.
2. Secure links to all APMS2020 sessions will also be available on APMS website. You will receive a password by Friday, August 28th that will give you access to all sessions.

→ On the day
When you access any of the APMS2020 sessions you will either be taken into a Cisco WebEx Meeting or Cisco WebEx Event.
• For the main Opening / Closing / Keynote / Panel session Cisco WebEx Event will be used; for all other sessions Cisco WebEx Meeting will be used.
• For any Cisco WebEx Event you will be a member of the audience only, the panel will not see or hear you but you will be able to interact through the Q&A feature and the panels may use this to discuss feedback.
• For the majority of Cisco WebEx Meeting sessions you will enter each session as a panelist (if you are a session chair or presenting author) or attendee. You will be able to see and hear the panel and they will be able to see and hear you. Live Q&A will be possible via the Meeting chat features in Cisco WebEx.
We ask that you enter each Cisco WebEx session with your microphone and camera on mute. Please consult Meeting Etiquette for further guidance.

Early-bird Registration Deadline Extended
We have extended Early-bird Registration deadline until July 20, 2020.

Mixed media mode and Online participation
Based on the situation in numerous countries and travel restrictions due to COVID-19, we have decided to switch to Mixed media mode (face-to-face or online presentation) for APMS2020 conference, and to offer registration for online participation. If you are willing and able to travel to Serbia, face-to-face attendance is still welcome. Serbia has opened borders and airports for all people, and do not have any travel restrictions – it is not required to have COVID-19 test nor self-isolation to enter Serbia. At least one author on each paper must be registered for the conference prior to the early-bird registration date (July 15th). Otherwise, the paper will not be included in the conference proceedings and the program.

Conference registration is now open. Please visit the "Registration" page to register for the conference. At least one author should register before the early registration deadline (July 15th, 2020) for their paper to be included in the proceedings.

March 13th, 2020

Submission Deadline Extended
We have received numerous requests from the authors regarding extending the submission deadline for APMS 2020 conference. Therefore, the Program Committee has decided to extend the submission deadline. Due to strict regulation by the Springer, we could grant an extension of the submission deadline only until April 5th, 2020. You can contribute to both regular tracks and special sessions. As a reminder, the suggested page limit for papers is 6 pages but the conference accepts papers up to 8 pages long. All accepted papers will be published in the Springer Series ACIT and indexed on SCOPUS and Web of Science.

Objectives and Scopes of APMS 2020

APMS 2020 in Novi Sad, Serbia brings together leading international experts from academia, Industry, and government in the area of production systems to discuss globally pressing issues in smart manufacturing, operations management, supply chain management, and Industry 4.0. The conference features several sessions filled with original, high-impact academic contributions, which will be published in the Springer Series ACIT and indexed on SCOPUS and Web of Science. Industrial viewpoints and insights will be shared through industry keynotes by world renown industry leaders. High quality papers will be fast tracked to several peer reviewed archival journals, including Production Planning & Control (PPC) and Interantional Journal of Production Research (IJPR). The conference is supported by the International Federation of Information Processing (IFIP) and is organized by the IFIP Working Group 5.7 on Advances in Production Management Systems which was established 1978.

Program

The program includes presentations and discussions of peer-reviewed papers, in addition to insightful keynote speeches. The program also includes a Doctoral Workshop that provides young researchers the opportunity to present research proposals (August 30th), special sessions that help raise visibility on focus topics in a particular scientific or applications area (August 31st – September 2nd), and industry tours, for participants to visit local manufacturing facilities (September 3rd), are included in the conference program.

University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Technical Sciences

APMS2020 is hosted by the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Technical Sciences, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management.

UNIVERSITY OF NOVI SAD The second largest university in the Republic of Serbia with 50.000 students and 13 faculties in four cities. The University of Novi Sad proudly hosted numerous international conferences in the different scientific fields, like GATT, ICPR’81, etc. (www.uns.ac.rs)

FACULTY OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES The biggest faculty in the region with around 15.000 students educated in almost all engineering fields. Faculty has 13 departments with 52 chairs. (www.ftn.uns.ac.rs)

DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT (DIEM) Established in late 1960’s as the Chair for organization and work improvement. In 1979, it became Institute of industrial systems and founded first center for technology transfer to industry – Research&Technology Center. Institute was upgraded to Department of Industrial Engineering and Management in 1999. Today employees 148 academic staff and researchers; having 3.500 students at all levels of education.
